Windows In The Frozen Summer

Out into the night, as cold and hard
as the ice that glazes the windows.
The summer has been frozen and
all that moves is still.
Still, the motions can be felt
if the stillness is taken in.
The subtle wafting of the aether
in the stagnation of the body.
Evidence of a soulful willingness
to be silent and to feel.
