for writing out
the dirt and grime
that stains every face

that we may look
upon our own
grime-streaked faces

in fear and trembling

and come away
the fearlessness
you’ve shown.

    1. Thank you very much! This really shows the extent to which Dostoyevsky was not only a great novelist, but also a great spiritual teacher, which is too often overlooked.
